Ashiatsu Barefoot Massage Training
Welcome to Barefoot Healing Training Centre
Learn and experience the ancient healing art of Ashiatsu Barefoot Massage. Adaptation of an ancient form of barefoot massage, Therapist uses parallel bars on the ceiling for balance and uses gravity to apply deep pressure to the body with the feet. This is a unique technique using the feet through body awareness, to massage the body in long, sweeping, graceful strokes. It’s a truly wonderful treatment to give and receive where both the client and practitioner feel relaxed and rejuvenated simultaneously.
Our mission is to create an interesting and intensive learning environment for every therapist that we train. We will teach you a modality that is dedicated to the preservation of the body-worker. Ashiatsu Barefoot Massage will change the way you massage forever, whilst taking all the strain off your back, hands and wrists.
Benefits for the therapist
Therapists feel like they have performed a dance instead of a work-out. Because of the absence of strain on the wrists, hands and back, the first deep-tissue massage of the day is a beneficial to the client as the last one. With your body-weight doing the work, not your hands, therapist burn-out is reduced. There is a healthy pull on the joints that strengthen the joints, instead of a pushing and compressing effect. Barefoot Massage opens up the spine, and allows elongation of the vertebrae, which allows the therapist to have many more trouble-free years, benefiting from never again having to bend to give deep compression.

Who can do this course?
Any qualified body-workers e.g. Physical therapist, occupational therapists, or anyone else who does body-work, e.g. personal training, yoga instructors & Swedish massage therapists, can take this course. You do not have to have a lot of upper body strength. There are no height or weight restrictions as long as the massage table can sustain both the weight of the client and the therapist. Testimonials
I visited Suzette for an Ashiatsu Barefoot Massage and once again an amazing experience. She is really good in what she does and knows exactly where to put pressure to ensure a deep massage without causing pain. To me that is the ultimate form of relaxation. Once she steps on you, you enter a world of relaxation and de-stressing as never before. I know the value of massage due to being in the natural medicine industry myself doing many massages, but Ashiatsu Barefoot Massage is a unique experience made complete by Suzette's very caring way of dealing with your stress. I had tension headaches for the past week and after the session felt so relaxed and the headaches were gone, so it was a wonderful experience.

Having been a regular migraine sufferer for more than 20 years, I have considered massage a therapeutic form of healing this often debilitating condition, for many many years. Having tried many forms of ‘alternative’ healing methods, such as chiropractic, dry-needle therapy & homeopathic as well as massage, to alleviate the migraines, I can honestly say that only your form of barefoot massage truly makes a difference. It may not make them disappear forever, but at least the frequency of getting the attacks (which usually last 3 days!!) is greatly reduced. Having gotten migraines roughly every month to two monthly intervals, I’m glad to report back that I have been migraine free again since re-starting treatment with you almost 2 months ago. As I’ve mentioned to you before, I can compare your form of massage to many others that I have also tried over the years & can honestly say that: sports massage, Swedish deep-tissue, Thai, hot stone etc….. do nothing for my well-being. In fact, on many occasions, I leave the massage table after those types of treatments MORE tense & knotted than before the treatment even began, simply because the techniques are just not deep & thorough enough or, the training of the “therapist” is lacking. Thanks again for making this seemingly chaotic world we live in, always look like a better place, every time I leave the serenity of your practice. Keep up the good work; I’m glad & grateful that my wife Jackie found you when she did!

I was referred to Suzette by a friend a year and a half ago. I complained of constant back ache due to sitting at a desk for 9 hours a day. I started going to Suzette on a regular basis for a back and scapula massage and reflexology. Wow has she changed my life!! Barefoot massaging is so therapeutic and it is a totally different experience than a normal massage performed by hand. She is able to penetrate the muscles much deeper and can apply much more pressure with her feet than her hands. I will never go for a normal massage again! I always considered a massage as a luxury but going to Suzette became a necessity for me. I felt so relaxed and stress-free every time I left her practice. Suzette is very knowledgeable, friendly and professional and I have recommended her services to all my friends and colleagues. She will be an asset to any company!
